YB Tailoring Pty Ltd respects your privacy. This page explains what this website collects, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Booking form and fitting questions. Your name, mobile number, the occasion, where you would like your fitting, and any notes you add.
Virtual fitting room. Your photo, and then your title, name, profession, email address, mobile number and what the suit is for. We email you a code to confirm your address.
Your photo is used only to make your fitting room previews. It is sent to the image and styling services that make them, and we do not keep it. The finished previews carry the YB mark, are kept for 24 hours so you can view and download them, and are emailed to you. Then we delete our copy.
Visits. When you browse, we collect information about the visit: the pages you view, the website or search that brought you here, your device type and your rough location from your internet connection. This does not tell us who you are.
Contact consent
The fitting room asks you to tick: "I agree to YB Tailoring contacting me by call, SMS and email. I can unsubscribe at any time." The booking form offers the same box, and there it is optional. When you tick it, we record the words you agreed to, the time and the page, with your enquiry.
It means YB Tailoring may call, text or email you about your fitting and about YB. You can stop at any time: reply STOP to a text, or email ybtailoring@outlook.com and ask us to stop.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, arrange and carry out your fitting, make your garments, and follow up with you. We use visit information to understand how people find and use this website so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information.
Where it goes
Your enquiries go to John at YB Tailoring, at ybtailoring@outlook.com. Scalus, which builds and hosts this website, passes them on and keeps a copy of each enquiry so none is lost. Fitting room details are kept for up to 180 days.
Analytics and cookies
- Scalus Analytics, run by our website provider Scalus. It counts visits without cookies. It keeps a random number in your browser so a return visit is only counted once.
- Google Analytics, run by Google. It uses cookies to show us how visitors use the site. You can opt out with Google's browser add on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The website still works.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers who help us run this website and our business, and only what they need to do their job: Scalus (website, hosting and enquiries), Google (analytics), our email provider and the services that make fitting room previews. Some of them store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and access by anyone who should not have it. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email ybtailoring@outlook.com or call 0430 060 342. We will respond within 30 days.
Questions and complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
